We were inspired to make this cross by the Nepenthes Kohala grex out of Leilani Nepenthes Nursery which was (kampotiana x maxima) x (veitchii x fusca)

the best colored veitchii in our collection named "Pink Candy Cane" actually did not exhibit striping until it was 12 inches across

The form sold here is from Marudi and has a higher neck and a more bulbous shape compared to other bicalcarata in cultivation
